disaster animals in Japan

Not having the chance to go to Japan this summer, the tsunami, nuclear meltdown, evacuation, and all the persistent recovery feels otherworldly. Generally it feels like I am learning about it as if listening through a thick pillow of distance and inconsistent information.

My friend Selena has been busy with JEARS and other groups helping needy and abandoned animals in the evacuation zone of Fukushima - updates along the way on her blog.  A few lira, yen, or dollars to the cause I'm sure are appreciated.

“If we should take a million of worlds like this and number their particles, we should find that there are more Gods than there are particles of matter in those worlds.”

Apostle Orson Pratt, Journal of Discourses, v. 2, p. 345, February 18, 1855 Deity are one; and they constitute the one God that the Prophets speak of, and that the children of men in all worlds worship.
JD 2:345 - p.346, Orson Pratt, February 18, 1855This explains the mystery. If we should take a million of worlds like this and number their particles, we should find that there are more Gods than there are particles of matter in those worlds. But the attributes of Deity are one; and they constitute the one God that the Prophets speak of, and that the children of men in all worlds worship.

Sifting through old papers = a series of entry ticket stubs to the sights of the People's Republic of China (circa 1998?)

I appreciate the fact they are all numbered: No: 002548, No: 458781, No:0992429

What digits they are up to now.
